Thinking Tree
Live tree (Carya ovata), paint, and photoluminescent pigment. Dimensions: approximately 6 x 4 feet. Made at I-Park, Connecticut, USA.
In this work I intervene in the natural landscape by partially highlighting the branches of a small tree with photoluminescent pigment. During the day the intervention is invisible. At night they begin to glow, making visible the striking similarity between their configuration and that of active neurons.
