Barbara Bartos is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is deeply rooted in the nuanced exploration of perception, transformation, process, and experimentation. Her work moves seamlessly between mediums, ranging from musical-paintings to experimental installations with live bees, as well as site-specific interventions, drawings, and prints.
Originally from Romania, Barbara is currently based in Rome, Italy. She holds a MA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BA in Graphic Arts from the Visual Arts Academy in Cluj, Romania. Barbara is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship, which facilitated her academic studies in the US.
Barbara’s talent has earned her international recognition, with solo exhibitions in Australia, Italy and Romania, and participation in many group shows worldwide. Recent exhibitions include venues such as Wagga-Wagga Gallery, NSW Australia, Morely Gallery in London, Autocenter in Berlin, and the National Art Museum in Cluj, Romania.
Her work has been featured on platforms like Romania International TV and in publications such as LandEscape Artreview and ARTnews Extra.
